What We Want to See.....................

Xbox 720 release date, news and rumours

Microsoft's next Xbox will be equipped for voice recognition, according to sources. And its skills will be so advanced you'll be able to just say "Xbox on" and it'll start up.
It'll have some other neat abilities too, The Verge's sources say. Apparently you'll be able to ask your Xbox, "What are my friends playing?" and it'll show a list of who's doing what online, so you can join in the fun.
Search will be revamped too, with your Xbox talking back when you ask it a question. The question is, what kind of personality will Microsoft give it? Sassy like Siri? Or more of a gamer dude to frag with?
You'll also be able to start a movie from where you left off, just by asking your Xbox to play it.

Microsoft IllumiRoom concept brings your whole living room into the game

Microsoft has put together a concept video showing off an immersive gaming setup where gameplay extends beyond the piddling confines of your TV.
The IllumiRoom idea, which Microsoft patented late last year, basically turns your whole room into the gaming canvas using a Kinect for Windows camera coupled with a projector connected to the console as well as the TV.
The video shows bits and pieces of game debris shooting out of the screen and around the room, the idea being to put your peripheral vision to good use and generally give you a 'being there' vibe as you play.
Or, as Microsoft puts it, "blending our virtual and physical worlds with projected visualisations".

Handheld controllers will never go out of style, though we'll certainly see them evolve over the next few years.
While we do expect there will be some intriguing ergonomic additions to the controller and keypad ecosystem demoed at GDC, we'll be looking for the ways users can manipulate play while keeping their hands folded, stuffed in pockets, or cradling a slice of pizza.

A Death in the Family?

download xbox 360 games

Rumor has it the next-generation Xbox may limit exactly what kind of games you're allowed to play. According to sources speaking to Kotaku, the Xbox 360's successor will have some kind of anti-used-game enforcement. There's no explanation of what that means, but speculation surrounding the issue says the console could outright reject used-games altogether.

The death of used games is inevitable, and passes are the first step toward something exactly like a native anti-used game something integrated into consoles. He notes, of course, that digital is the future of buying games, but in the meantime we may be looking at "an interim period in which the disc as a delivery method is still around but...becomes more like a PC game, which are sold with one-time-use keys that grant one owner a license to play the game on his machine."

For all we know, if this is legitimate, such a theoretical link between a Gamertag and new game would simply negate the need for online pass redemption codes in every game. This alleged feature comes alongside talks that the Xbox 3 will also turn to blu-ray for its primary format.

X Box 720 @ E3 in May in Seattle?

xbox 720 release date 2013 specs price controller feature news video rumors photos

When the Xbox 720 release date arrives, gamers will get a console design featuring three times faster than the second-gen 360. Under the hood, the new console will feature the following tech specs: AMD eight-core x64 1.6GHz CPU, Direct3d 11.x 800MHz GPU, and 8GB of DDR3 RAM.

Processor wise, Microsoft is currently debating between two options - use six or eight ARM cores or x86 cores clocked at 2GHz each with 4GB RAM. These would be put alongside 3 PPC cores clocked at 3.2GHz each to enable backwards compatibility with current Xbox 360 titles. Earlier speculations have also hinted at a quad-core Intel processor.

Will the Xbox 720 design be similar to this original Xbox prototype?

It may take till 2014 to get 2TB hard drives, uber fast CPUs and state-of-the art graphics and sell at $400.

Xbox 720 Launch Games?: Next, we have Xbox World Magazine’s October 2011 issue #109 with some juicy rumors. The magazine claims that the Xbox 720 launch games will include Gears of War 4 and Forza Motorsport 5! Their “The Insider” column reads: “what are id Software doing now that Rage is about to ship? Doom 4, that’s what. Don’t expect it for this gen, though. It’ll be Xbox Next for sure. And what of Xbox Next? Well, the Insider hears suits at Microsoft are already lining up the launch games – and they include two monsters: Gears of War 4 and Forza 5.” CVG adds: “We hear a number of Microsoft-friendly developers are hard at work on prepping next gen games as we speak. Could this be the reason why Remedy are so quiet about Alan Wake 2? (Yes). Rare, Lionhead (Fable 4?) and Turn 10 all have teams in place too. Rare, we hear, are even prototyping ideas for a new mature title.”
